Terms and Conditions

Louet North America (LNA) is a supplier to retail businesses within the craft community for the purpose of resale. Retailers are expected to keep an appropriate volume and mix of LNA products on display and in stock. In return, Retailers are supported by LNA through national print advertising and customer referrals. LNA also wholesales its products to those using large quantities in the manufacturing of finished goods or yarn. LNA reserves the right to supply its products to recognized schools, teachers, etc. that are not affiliated with or hosted by a specific Retailer.


LNA strives to fulfil 95% of all product orders out of inventory. However, situations will arise where a particular product is backordered. Freight costs for backorders valued up to $150, within continental North America only, will be incurred by LNA. If the total value of backordered items exceeds $25, the backorder will be held active for 60 days after which it will be deleted. Backorders totalling less than $25 will be deleted and will have to be reordered at a later date. Unfortunately, due to the volume of orders processed, LNA cannot always contact the Retailer to advise that an item is out of stock prior to shipping.

Minimum orders & Handling charges

All orders under $100 and all drop-shipments are subject to a $5 handling charge per order, except all floor loom drop-shipments. The dropship fee and minimum handling fee are waived on orders placed through the B2B online ordering system.


Shipments will be sent by Fed Ex (USA) or UPS/Canada Post (CAN). It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the correct shipping or mailing address is provided. If a package is returned due to an incorrect address provided then there will be a $10.00 handling charge added to the freight costs for re-shipping the package(s). LNA’s goal is to ship all orders within two business days, unless LNA is temporarily out of stock or LNA offices are closed for holidays (including all statutory holidays), etc. LNA office closures, either for nonstatutory holidays or special events, are announced through the LNA newsletter.


LNA guarantees all material and workmanship on its products. Louet equipment offers a lifetime warranty against manufacturer’s defects. All other LNA products have a standard 30 day warranty period. Goods should be returned for replacement or refund at LNA’s discretion. (see Returned Goods)

Damaged Goods

Once goods are placed on the Carrier’s truck responsibility for the goods is passed on to the Purchaser. Any claim for shortages or damage is thusly the Purchaser’s responsibility, and must be made within one week of shipment. If there is damage please contact LNA to report it and to obtain assistance in making a claim. LNA, at no cost to you, will replace damaged goods due to negligence on the part of LNA. Goods arriving visibly damaged on the outside of the box should be brought to the attention of the delivery person immediately. Save all boxes and packaging material in case the delivery company wants to inspect them. If goods do not arrive within 10 days of receiving an invoice please contact LNA to trace the shipment.

Returned Goods

Before returning any item, CONTACT LNA FIRST. An LNA representative will advise you of shipping arrangements. An RMA # must be issued by LNA prior to shipping. LNA will not accept returned goods unless the goods are accompanied by an RMA #. Properly ordered returned goods are subject to a 15% restocking charge. Used goods will not be accepted unless the problem is due to a manufacturer’s defect. The RMA # must appear clearly on the outside of the box.
