Part of the Fall 2017 Collection - Designer Katrin Schubert - I am a mid forty, married mother of five wonderful boys living in the middle of Germany. I have a degree in architecture design and am lucky to be able to be working as a knit wear designer in my second life. Since my mother and grandmother are both knitters, I learned how to knit when I was a child. Long after those first knitting experiences I picked it up again about five years ago and have been knitting ever since. Strudel is an asymmetrical shaped brioche shawl with a beautiful drape. To be honest, this pattern is a real one row wonder. Repetitive increases and decreases are worked every 4 rows only, giving the shawl its unusual shape. Using the main color an applied I-cord is then worked across for a clean finish. You end up witha very feminine shawl, a perfect pattern to relax and very suitable for brioche beginners and young knitters. Wrap the inner circle around your neck or wear it upside down with the outer circle around your shoulders!
