Since our wheels have been on the market for over 34 years, there are several commonly requested replacement parts. Things like drive bands that have stretched over time and footman to treadle connectors that have broken.
Footman to Treadle Connector
The Footman to treadle connector is the piece at the bottom of the footman, connecting the footman to the treadle, hence the name! The footman is the wooden part that connects the treadle to the main wheel. This is the same for all wheels except the Victoria.

Bobbin Bearing
The centre core of the bobbin. This part has been known to come loose and fall out of the bobbin in some climates. You can use some glue to fasten the bobbin bearing.

Footman Bolt Assembly
This part is bolted to the main wheel and the footman connector snaps over the silver bearing. Some models of wheels used a screw attachment instead of a bolt attachment. To replace the bolt attachment, you must drill a hole through the wheel and fasten the footman bolt assembly. This is the same for all wheels except the Victoria.

Flyer Rod and Orifice
The plastic orifice is a molded plastic piece, that can wear after a lot of use. The flyer rod can also wear on the end that fits into the back post. Wear on the rod is due to dirt and grit getting into the plastic bearing and wearing the metal rod. The rod can be removed from the flyer arms and replaced.

Regular Flyer Orifice Only
If you only need the orifice, this can be ordered separately.
High Speed Orifice
Same as above, only the high speed flyer orifice has a smaller opening – 3/8”.

Brass Bearing
This is where the orifice rests on the front of the mother-of-all. The brass bearing can wear and need replacement.
Flyer Bearing
The flyer bearing is embedded in the back post and the end of the flyer rod rests in it during spinning.
Main Bearing
This is a ball bearing ring that is sealed and lubricated for life. It should not be oiled as the oil will deteriorate the seal and allow dirt to enter the bearing, ultimately destroying the bearing. There are three of these bearings on all wheels. One attaching the footman to the main wheel, and two in the back post, allowing smooth rotation of the main wheel.
