Knitting Pattern Specifications & Instructions
Skeins Needed:
1 (for solid color hat)
55 yards (main color) and 25 yards (contrasting color) for 2-toned hat
Yarn Requirements
Nomad Worsted Weight 100 gram skein (109 to 130 yards)Needles and Materials
5.5 mm (US 9) circular needles (40 cm) and double-pointed needlesGauge: 4 sts = 1".
Finished Sizes (in inches): Adult - 21" circumference.

Note: When making the solid colored hat, ignore color change instructions.
Instructions
Bottom Edge Ribbing
Cast on 72 sts with contrast color.
Join into a circle being careful not to twist sts. Place a marker at beg of round and work in k2, p2 ribbing for 2".
Pattern
Work in stockinette st (knit every row) for 2".
Garter Ridge
P 1 round.
K 1 round.
P 1 round.
With contrast color, repeat pattern, working stockinette st for 1". Change to main color and work garter ridge rounds.
Top Decreasing
In stockinette st, begin decreasing at top of hat, changing to double point needles when necessary:
Rnd 1: *K4, k2tog, rep from *.
Rnd 2: *K3, k2tog, rep from *.
Rnd 3: *K2, k2tog, rep from *.
Rnd 4: *K1, k2tog, rep from *.
Draw yarn through remaining loops on needle and fasten off.
