White Tencel Top (New)
TENCEL®, made from wood pulp cellulose, offers a unique combination of the most desirable properties of man made and natural fibers: soft as silk, strong as polyester, cool as linen, warm as wool and as absorbent as cotton. TENCEL® absorbs excess liquid and quickly releases it again into the atmosphere. In contrast to synthetic fibers, with reduced wicking properties, TENCEL® offers unique moisture transport. The completely new nano technology of TENCEL® supports this natural fiber property, guaranteeing optimum conditions for the skin. Synthetic fibers cannot absorb moisture into the inside of the fiber. In contrast to cotton and Modal fibers, TENCEL® controls and regularly absorbs moisture. Also TENCEL® absorbs 50 % more moisture than cotton. By contrast polyester does not absorb moisture. Moisture transport is determined by climate. Depending upon climate conditions, TENCEL® either absorbs or releases moisture. Compared to other fibers, TENCEL® features the highest moisture absorption-rate: with air humidity at 65 %, TENCEL® still has unused capacity to absorb moisture from the skin. TENCEL® is a godsend for anyone with sensitive skin. The combination of a smooth fiber surface and excellent moisture absorption creates a positive environment for healthy skin, making TENCEL® ideal for anyone with sensitive skin. Also, TENCEL® is chemical free, an important factor for sensitive skin and another asset in comparison to other fibers of a natural origin.

SeaCell®

Light Brown Cashmere
No additional information available.
Almost White Cashmere
This fiber is slightly easier to spin. The fibers are a little longer, not quite as fine as the brown. Our white cashmere is best suited for hand spinning. Many spinners concur with this assessment.
Cashgora Top
This top is a blend of Cashmere and Angora, a nice fiber to spin. It is extremely shiny and a real luxury fiber.
Fine Baby Camel Top
Our fine baby camel feels almost like cashmere. Very soft and easy to spin, the natural color is warm light brown.
100% Angora
Combed fine top, length of staple is 3.5". A wonderful top that is great for felting too.
Lambswool/Angora 50/50
This is a very soft blend, ideal for spinning and it felts very easily. A very well combed mix, the fine merino lambswool blends well with the fine angora.
Yak Top
Dark, very soft fiber, combed. The undercoat is similar to Cashmere but darker, almost charcoal.
Cream Yak Top
Very soft, like dark yak top, but in a lovely natural cream shade.
Dew or Water Retted Flax
We stock Dew Retted Flax instead of Water retted flax because the Dew Retted Flax is more environmentally friendly. The quality is fairly coarse, long fibers but not too long. Spinning is easy with this combed top and can be used for a variety of projects.
Bleached Flax Top
A combed tow with shorter flax fibers, easy to spin and can be dry spun or wetspun without distaff.
Hemp (new and improved!)
Hemp is a vegetable fiber, like flax, and is easy to grow, although for a long time it was not allowed to be grown in North America. Our hemp top is very fine, high quality fiber.
Super Fine Water Retted Flax Top
The flax is split and combed in a special, patented process used by our supplier. It is a finer flax than our dew retted flax.
Flax Stricks
A combed long line flax that is 18" to 24" long. This is wrapped and sold in stricks.
Flax Waste
Available in 5 Kg bales, commonly used for re-enactments for fire starting and paper making.
Flax Straw
Available in bale form only (app 200 lb). This is pre-retted fiber used by historical society’s for re-enactments.
Ramie
This ramie is super soft and has a beautiful sheen.
Bright Viscose Top
Viscose is the first synthetic fiber invented and gives a silky appearance. This quality is very nice, lots of luster.
Fake Cashmere Top
This soft nylon top is often used for strength in, sock toes or heels. Spin together with any wool.
White Icicle
A fine denier nylon fiber that is very easy to blend. Lots of sparkle.
Low Camel
This is separated from the fine camel top. This fiber is mostly used for carpet warp, strong and sturdy. It is a beautiful brown shade, good quality, not too hairy to spin.
